There are three primary paths to psychological good health—Thoughts, Behaviors, and Feelings. All three interact with each other and
all three must work in balance to achieve good mental health.
We use all three primary therapeutic approaches—Congitive (thoughts), Psychodynamic (feelings), and Behavioral—to help your child
deal with the issues that concern him or her.
Is yours a happy home? For many people, psychological good health is the natural result of growing up in a happy home. For others,
it is the result of hard work—overcoming the effects of a chaotic, abusive, or depriving event or environment.
If your child is experiencing
difficult circumstances and painful feelings, we can help you decide what type of help your child needs and how to best receive that
help.
My practice offers both individual and family counseling, helping both your teen and your entire family understand, cope, and
heal.
Providing focus, clarity, and peace to teenagers and their families. Improving communication, attitude, self esteem, and outlook.

Of course, other factors often come into play. Your family background and culture, the teen's faith and spirituality, and his or her past experiences all can play a role in the specific therapy used to help your child.
Finally, there is empathy. It is important that your child understands that nothing he or she is feeling, doing, or thinking is beyond our understanding or concern.
